Sara M. Wright Living Room March 06th 2019, 15:19:47
Is it time for a living room makeover already, you think? Well, actually, for whatever reason, for me it is always the time for such work to be taken up. Why do you ask? Because there is always room for improvement, especially when it comes to the living room where friends and family love to gather in. And when I am talking about improvement, I am not just referring to space itself, but also to us as the ones who enjoy the result of said work.
As I like to keep it simple, I will most definitely start with the most inexpensive harmless work: details. We can start with rearranging the shelves and adding several knick-knacks or keepsake kinds of stuff from an old friend to spice up the look and radiate warmth and happy memories. Afterward, let us see if there is still room for some lively plants. Well, of course, there always is! I always love plants for inexpensive decoration that is actually functional.
If I still have some cash to spend on decoration, I will get on to replacing the old color palettes. Sure our sofas always need some pimping up with trendier colored and more daring patterned pillows. So, why not? It causes no harm; too, as this is not something permanent and we can always play with the colors and patterns. Then, if the budget still allows it, there is always fuzzy rug to add up the fresh look of the now trendy living room. The possibility is endless.
However, this is my second favorite makeover after the plants: dedicate a single wall to accentuate the room. As I like to have light colors around the house, for accent wall I will choose something extra daring, maybe taking the color from one of the pillowcases’ colors. For this year, have a feeling that violet and dark blue will make the spotlight for accent colors. For more inspiration, to browse through the photos below.
