The minimalist concept of home design is indeed very popular today. However, there is probably no house more minimalist than the house of Glass Pavilion. The house is designed by the very own owner, architect Steve Hermann who is well known for his modern design concept. It is completed in 2010 and located in Santa Barbara California. It is taking place in a 13.875 square foot land and sold on the market for $35.000.000, not including the furniture.
The house is basically taking the square shape. It has a basement car garage, which makes the building two stories high. There five room available and five and a half bathroom. Outside the house, there is a garden with a spacious lawn. There are white stepping stones directly to the house. It also has a backyard and surprisingly no pool. The garage is uniting with the backyard porch which made the car collections of the owner as the background view.
For the interior design, the house is totally a minimalist concept. It has super minimalist decoration and every furniture selection is modern style. The dominating color is white, and it is luxurious as the lighting is dim and romantic even for the staircase. The house is probably designed for the family, as the chair available is quite a lot. And since the outside walls are all made of glass, the house is pretty transparent and absolutely beautiful, especially at night.
